KLL Swimming Athletes Clinched 2nd Place Overall

Jo-Anne Mendoza, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication second-year student, earned silver medals in the 50-meter freestyle, 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter butterfly, and 200-meter individual medley. In addition, Bachelor of Arts in Communication students Jeyrold Tusing, second year, takes home the silver medal in the 50-meter backstroke. Kriztoferzon Carillo, second year, wins a bronze medal in the 50-meter butterfly. Also earning a silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke was Merwin Cascante, second year. The KLL Arnis team competed fiercely in both Solo and Combat events, leaving their mark on the competition. In the Solo category, the 3rd-year CCS standout, Renel Beltran, displayed remarkable skill, securing an impressive four Silver Medals in Solo Baston, Synchronize Solo Baston, Synchronize Double Baston, and Synchronize Espada y Daga Baston. KLL Chess Team Men's Division Seizes 3rd Overall Champion

Hizola PHOTO CREDITS TO: LENTE-College of Communication Arts Camera Club In a remarkable display of strategic brilliance and unwavering determination, the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) Chess Team Men's Division has earned the title of the 3rd Overall Champion in a fiercely competitive chess tournament held yesterday, October 12, 2023, at Laguna University. The KLL pride, Marc Louie Sarsaba, an Associate in Computer Technology second year student, clinched a well-deserved gold medal in Board 4. He showcased his strategic skills and chess mastery. On the other hand, Carlo Maloles, Bachelor of Secondary Education third year student, earned a bronze medal in Board 2. In an exclusive interview, Mr. Sarsaba expressed his gratitude and pride: "I  also experience how to be frustrated at my games at the same time  how to be excellent at the peak of my performance. I believe i did my very best to reach my goals and with the help and mercy of God, I won the Gold Medal. 

KLL Badminton Women's Double with Bronze Medal Win

The team, consisting of Thea Flor, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science fourth-year student, and Karen Cañobas, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration third-year student, showed great skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. The road to the finals was not an easy one for the KLL team. In the intense battles for the top spot, they faced tough competition from Gordon College. The first set saw a close match, with Gordon College emerging victorious with a score of 21-17. The KLL team fought back fiercely in the second set, but Gordon College managed to secure the win with a narrow margin of 24-22. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science third year student, Christine Jhen Atienza and Vincent Zara, a third year from College of Teacher Education, showcased their harmonizing coordination until the last battle and settle the score 11-8.

Kenneth Bulao, a third year student from the College of Computer Studies, led the KLL Dragons, anchoring a 31-point game that resulted to a four point lead at the end of the first half, 40-36.  Dragons will wait for their opponent to be announced tomorrow.

In battle for finals, the team scored 51 against PLMUN's 83 points, earning them the third place, which on the other hand, secured a possible championship to the latter.
