LCUAA Makes Spectacular Comeback After 3-Year Hiatus

The country is buzzing with excitement as the Local Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (LCUAA) roars back to life after a three-year hiatus. The long-awaited event, which is currently in full swing, commenced with a grand parade and opening ceremony for the week-long event that brought together athletes, students, and sports enthusiasts alike on October 8, 2023.

Dr. Sigfrefo C. Adajar, LCUAA Chairperson, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the triumphant return of the highly anticipated sports event in the country and the significance of it in bringing academic institutions together again and fostering healthy competition. Dr. Colegio S. Gascon also extended a warm welcome to all the participants.

“After three years of uncertainty due to the COVID pandemic, in which no one is able to foresee their future, we are now at the end of the tunnel, and life is beautiful. The Local Colleges and Universities Athletic Association is proud to announce the triumphant return of the highly anticipated 12th LCUAA National Games. Palakpakan natin ang pagbabalik ng National Games”, Dr. Adajar expressed.

The torch lighting ceremony, symbolizing the spirit of competition, was carried out by the best athletes from each school, adding an extra layer of excitement and anticipation to the games.

Ms. Julianne Baretto, a LU athlete, led the athletes' pledge, reaffirming the commitment of all participants to fair play and sportsmanship. Mr. Billy James A. Pornela, an LU coach, followed with the Coaches and Sports Officials' Pledge, the importance of coaching with integrity and ethics.

With the grand opening ceremony setting the stage, the LCUAA National Games promise to be a thrilling showcase of athletic talent, camaraderie, and sportsmanship in the days to come.

KLL ROTC Unit holds Graduation Ceremony and Change of Command

The ceremony was led by COL Harold V Hernando PAF (GSC) together with the entrance of colors supervised by C/CPT Anady La Rosa 2CL. Celebrating New Beginnings: KLL's Abante Academic Kickoff Welcomes Freshmen with Zeal.
