In a pre-interview session at the beginning of the grand coronation, Ms. Anne Mariz Nario and Mr. Oscar Joaquin Amago, the KLL representatives for Mr. and Ms. LCUAA 2023, left judges and the audience in awe with her response to a question about her advocacy for freedom of information.

When Nario was asked, "Tell us about your advocacy for freedom of information. What steps do you think are essential to ensure the protection and accessibility of information in today's world?" she responded with passion and conviction:

"I believe in keeping the journalists safe and protecting what they do. Journalism is something that thrives in a society with a lot of issues, much like our country. That's why I believe in the freedom of information because protecting them means protecting the truth, protecting the society, and protecting the citizens from all the harm we have in our country."

Her profound words resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting her unwavering dedication to promoting transparency and truth in our increasingly complex world.

Mr. Amago also answered with conviction as he was asked on how he find time to balance his passions in life.

The excitement is now building as the grand coronation night of Mr. and Ms. LCUAA 2023 unfolds. Keep an eye out for more updates as we follow our representatives’ inspiring journey in this prestigious competition!
