KLL Karatekas Triumphs To Overall Champion

Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) Athletics in Karate crowned overall champion with nine gold and four silver medals this October 9, in the 12th Local Colleges and Universities Athletics Association (LCUAA) at Laguna University.
The KLL pride, Nizza Gabrielle Dela Cruz, a Bachelor of Science in Criminology fourth year student, was declared best karatekas recognizing her the most valuable player (MVP). She bagged the gold medal in Individual Kata, Women’s Division.
While Henrey Zipagan, also a Bachelor of Science in Criminology fourth year student, secured the gold medal in the Individual Kata in Men’s Division.
Consequently, Nizza Gabrielle Dela Cruz, Ma. Doreen Pormento, a Bachelor of Secondary Education first year student, and Blanca Titular, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication third year student practiced their coordinated discipline as they claimed gold in the Team Kata in Women’s Division. Followed by the Team Kata in Men’s Division, Henrey Zipagan, John Gregorio Felipe a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science first year student, and Reymark Sanchez, a BSED 1st year student kicks for a silver medal.
On the other hand, Ralph Vincent Hornilla -60 kg, a Bachelor of Secondary Education 1st year student, Henrey Zipagan -67 kg, Ralph Lawrence Hornilla -75 kg, a Bachelor of Elementary Education 1st year student, Led Jannsen Conmigo -84 kg, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration 3rd year student, and Medel Berte Jr +84 kg, a BSCRIM fourth year student all contributed and confirmed their status claiming the gold in Individual Kumite Men’s Division. Accordingly, Loren Indicho, a BSCS fourth year student, added silver in Individual Kumite Men’s Division -55 kg.
Meanwhile, Ma. Doreen Pormento -50 kg and Blanca Titular -55kg never disappoint, bagging silver medals in the Individual Kumite Women’s Division.
Lastly, Reymark Sanchez, Led Jannsen Conmigo, Ralph Vincent Hornilla, John Gregorio Felipe, and Loren Indico dominated the Team Kumite, reaching for gold.
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMUN) followed KLL, winning silver and Initao College winning bronze.
