KLL Arnis Athletes Shine with Silver and Bronze Medals in LCUAA 2023

Laguna University (LU) was a witness to the incredible prowess of Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) Arnis athletes as they clinched impressive medals in the recently concluded Local Colleges and Universities Athletics Association (LCUAA) Games 2023. The KLL Arnis team competed fiercely in both Solo and Combat events, leaving their mark on the competition.
In the Solo category, the 3rd-year CCS standout, Renel Beltran, displayed remarkable skill, securing an impressive four Silver Medals in Solo Baston, Synchronize Solo Baston, Synchronize Double Baston, and Synchronize Espada y Daga Baston. Joining him in the winner's circle, Raniel Beltran from the 2nd year CCS bagged 1 Bronze Medal and 3 Silver Medals in Espada Y Daga, Synchronize Solo Baston, Synchronize Double Baston, and Synchronize Espada y Daga Baston. John Harry Endaya, a 3rd-year CBA student, also left his mark, earning 1 Bronze Medal and 3 Silver Medals in Double Baston, Synchronize Solo Baston, Synchronize Double Baston, and Synchronize Espada y Daga Baston.
In the Combat events, Elton John Lalican, a 2nd-year CBA student, fought valiantly and secured the Bronze Medal in the Cruiserweight division. Reniel Beltran, displaying his versatility, claimed a Bronze Medal in the Lightweight category. Adding to the glory, Nika Bongalon, a 3rd-year CTE Socs student, earned a Silver Medal in the 55-60 kilos weight division. The excitement continued as another 3rd-year CTE Socs student, competing in the Featherweight division, proudly took home a Bronze Medal.
Nika Bongalon, who won the Silver Medal in the 55-60 kilos weight category, expressed her excitement, saying, "It's a very joyful and great experience for me joining the LCUAA because it's an honor for me to represent not just myself and my sports but also our school, which is the KLL. Having a medal gives unwavering happiness to my heart because of all the hard work and efforts that have paid off. It's not an easy fight, but I still managed to gain a medal for our school."
