Do you still remember the day they fought for our freedom? 28th of August is the day where we, Filipinos, reminisce the patriotic heroes of the Philippines. As a Filipino, I thank and honor them for their heroic deeds in achieving freedom. They are the heroes who freed us from oppressive foreign race. They are the heroes who sacrificed their lives just for the sake of our country. People nowadays are slowly forgetting about our heroes. And so I hope you take time asking yourself, "How did we get to this generation where we enjoy freedom?" Without Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini, Andres Bonifacio and other unsung heroes, the Philippines will still be under the colonial rule of Spaniards or Americans or Japanese. Si Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. ay isang mamahayag at politiko ng Pilipinas. Siya ay nag serbisyo sa Tarlac bilang alkalde at pumasok sa Senado. Sa kanyang panahon ipinakita niya ang pagkamahal niya sa bansang Pilipinas. Naging bukas at mulat siya sa totoong kahulugan at depinesyon ng kalayaan. BY: Laidel Hizola PHOTO FROM: Seiken Karate Student Organization of KLL Facebook Page Students taking criminology program at Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) bagged 3 medals in the 8th MKKPI Karatedo Championship held at Robinsons Metro East Pasig City on July 15, 2023. The Seiken Karate Student Organization members namely Lakeisha Andrew T. Laygo, Neil Vincent T. Oya and Christopher Pachico made their organization, department and school proud as they brought victory after winning the competition that was attended by more than 1,000 delegates from Luzon, NCR as well as teams from Vietnam and Malaysia. Laygo won the gold medal in the Kumite (Sparring) - 50kg Intermediate Advance Division. On the other hand, Oya got a silver medal in the Kumite (Sparring) - 74kg Blackbelt Division, while Pachico won the bronze medal in the Kumite (Sparring) - 84kg Blackbelt Division. The Seiken Karate Student Organization is also looking forward to train more KLL students from different departments. The
