The College of Education and Allied Sciences (CEAS) students came together on October 5, 2024, to honor the dedication and resilience of educators, with the theme, "Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability.”
The event emphasized the critical role teachers play in not only educating the youth but also shaping a sustainable future through their leadership and adaptability in an ever-changing world.
The celebration kicked off with a warm message by Dr. Bibiana Jocelyn D. Cuasay, Dean of CEAS, who emphasized the role of the instructors to its students. "We are always here for you. Lagi kaming naririto para sa inyo. Para magbigay ng karunungan, para magbigay ng aming panahon, ng aming kakayahan upang kayo ay patulungan na itaguyod ang isang magandang kinabukasan."
Throughout the event, several activities and programs were made to honor all the instructors of the CEAS Department. The event also featured performances from students and different organizations, showcasing their appreciation for the teachers. Songs, dances, and heartfelt speeches were dedicated to the educators, underscoring the invaluable impact teachers have on their lives.
One of the highlights was an award ceremony recognizing outstanding teachers for their contributions to education. Also giving a certificate of appreciation to those students who have been a student teacher for a week during the celebration of Teachers Month.
Another highlight of the event is a special mass organized by Teacher Have Class Society (THCS) which was held during the celebration and followed by the blessing ceremony of the new faculty room of CEAS instructors led by Rev. Fr. Eugene Peñalosa III.
As the celebration came to a close, a renewed sense of camaraderie and purpose filled the air. Sir Gio Laylo, Chairperson of Teacher Have Class Society (THCS), ended the celebration with a fruitful message and appreciation to all the instructors and to the future educators.
