Honoring the noblest profession, the Student Executive Council (SEC) spearheaded Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa's Teacher's Day celebration with the theme, "SEClebrating Compassion and Dedication in Every Teacher's Heart: Every day is a Teacher's Day," on October 4, 2024.
During her opening remarks, Ms. Angelica Magtibay, Faculty Association President, expressed her well wishes to the teachers, hoping for their good health. She acknowledged that the teachers had chosen their profession out of passion and dedication to ensure the success of their students.
"Hindi ito ang propesyon na tayo ay yayaman. Hindi ito ang propesyon na tayo ay magkakapera nang biglaan," Ms. Magtibay stated. "Pero ito ang propesyon na magbibigay sa atin ang satisfaction and contentment."
Meanwhile, a student from the College of Education and Allied Sciences (CEAS), Ms. Jean Robles, shared her way of appreciating teachers and how she practiced all the lessons she learned from her teachers, as it is a part of celebrating Teacher's Day.
"For me, to appreciate my teachers, I always greet them. I always appreciate all their life-learning lessons and advice. I also make sure to make them feel that they are appreciated in everything they do. Lastly, I share all the advice they have given me, for me, to also encourage my fellow students," she said.
Meanwhile, the teachers with long years of service also received their awards and recognition, gaining appreciation for their persisting dedication in the teaching field.
At the end of the event, everyone joined Bingo for light entertainment.
