Lipa City took part in the celebration of the 126th Independence Day at Plaza Independencia under the theme, "Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan."

Mayor Eric B. Africa emphasized the importance of using freedom to address some of the country's most pressing issues.

"Sa Araw ng ating Kalayaan, ipinagdiriwang ang kasarinlan, ang kalaban natin ngayon ay climate change at malnutrisyon", he stated

Lt. Col. Supremo Villareal, in his speech, paid tribute to the sacrifices of those who came before us.

"In the words of our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalinggan ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan", he added.

The ceremony ended with the release of white doves, symbolizing the nation's enduring commitment to peace and freedom, as they gracefully took flight across the Plaza.
