KLL joins Lipa City Grand Santacruzan 2024

In her silver gown adorned with pink flowers, Ms. Joyce Olgado, alongside her partner, Mr. James Francisco, brought pride to Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) as they participated in Lipa City Grand Santacruzan 2024 on May 24, 2024, in San Sebastian Cathedral Lipa.
Furthermore, Ms. Olgado shared her experience during the entire event.
“It was amazing and tiring at the same time,” she stated. “Pero masarap sa pakiramdam ‘yong experience na makasama sa ganitong event sa community natin. Especially, it was an honor to be chosen to represent Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa.”
Prior to preparation, she mentioned that it was simply her goal to attend the event. She also shared her gratitude with the people who helped her and her partner throughout the preparation. In the end, everything flowed smoothly.
Aside from that, she stated that the most memorable part of the event was when they were awarded for their participation and the school was given recognition.
“Ayun ‘yong pinakamemorable na part para sa akin kasi dala-dala ko talaga ang name ng school and thankful akong naging successful siya, and nabigay namin ang best namin para sa event na ‘to,” she added.
In addition, KLL took pride in its involvement in this grand event, marking that it was its first time being invited.
After the parade, the program of the event progressed in the Lipa City Plaza. The Lipa City mayor, Eric Africa, shared his opening remarks, followed by the speech of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Technical Consultant for Artistic Matters, Alexander Cortez.
Consequently, Mr. Cortez, together with the Lipa City Tourism Council, spearheaded the performance of The National Folk Dance Company of the Philippines.
The evening was concluded with the awarding of the participants and with the recognition of their schools and barangays.
