Matthew 26:26-28
26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you for this is my blood which will be shed by many".
Maundy Thursday is remembering the last supper of our Lord Jesus Christ with his apostles before he suffered and crucified himself. Jesus eats his last meal with his 12 disciples.
Christ touches and washes the hands of his 12 disciples. He cleansed them and taught them to love each other as he loved them.
John 13:34 – “I give you a new commandment, that ye love one another as I have loved you”.
Christ's Last Supper reminds us of the importance of humility, humbleness, selflessness, and service.
