After 2 years, Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa made it to be back in an actual, face-to-face graduation as its 26th Commencement Exercises with the theme: Restrengthening Education, Building Lives and Actualizing Success took place on 6th of July 2022 at Aquamarine Recreational Center.

The honorable Sen. Ralph G. Recto threw a speech where he started extending how grateful he was for all the students who made it to college until sweat and blood they exerted paid off.

“Remember this, of your 100 batch mates in grade 1, only 10 of you will finish college. You have just finished an intellectual marathon with a 90% casualty rate, so congratulations whether you are a cum laude or was magna-nine years na scholar sa campus,” Sen. Recto said.

Pertaining to all the graduates who were into online world and kind of wondering as to what might be the next for them, RGR reminded that we merely step out of the 4 corners of our school and into a larger classroom which is the real world and that Google couldn’t predict your future.

“Wala po sa Google search ang lahat ng kasagutan sa inyong mga katanungan. May mga bagay na kailangan kayo mismo ang mag-hanap. Ang Google ay hindi bolang kristal. Hindi nito masasagot kung magtatagumpay ka sa buhay…,” RGR said.

And to finally end his message, he said that whatever you do, put your level best into it. If you want to become a farmer, be a good farmer. If you want to be a teacher, be an outstanding one. After all, a superior educator is always better than a mediocre lawyer. Better be a plumber, than a lousy doctor. Better be an excellent carpenter, than a mediocre engineer. Better be a top rate mechanic, than a third rate dentist. Better be a brave soldier…, than a coward general. Title are not important, performance is.
