KLL ROTC honors officers in Donning of Ranks Ceremony

Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) celebrated its officers' advancement on their ranks at Lipa Academy of Sports, Culture and Arts (LASCA) convention hall last March 17, 2024.

Thirty-seven (37) ROTC officers were honored for their successful advancement of ranks. The event was graced by the presence of Col Harold V. Hernando PAF (GSC), Commanding Officer of 3rd ArCen and the Commandmant of KLL ROTC Unit, as the keynote speaker.

In his keynote address, Col. Hernando reflected on his time in the military and how it shaped his character. He emphasized the importance of commitment, camaraderie, leadership, and teamwork, stating that these are the essential components of success.

The newly promoted officers were applauded by Prof. Anthony B. Llanes, KLL Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, who acknowledged their steadfast commitment to upholding the dignity and honor of the school. 

MAJ Joseph Vincent B. Lim PAF (Res), Assistant Commandant, also expressed his commendation. The newly promoted cadets officers and cadettes were also congratulated by NCOIC MSG Mildred A. Julio PAF and other MTI's.

"I am really grateful that we the cadet officers of this institution is being recognized on having a good leadership and a united organization. It really means so much because a lot of us is really dedicated with what we are doing and there is a lot of oppurtunities that we get from this program", C/LtCol Keziediah Marasigan 1Cl said on an online interview.

She believed that being promoted always come with a duty and responsibility even from the moment she joined this organization. 

She also shared some advice emphasizing the importance of not being discouraged by minor obstacles in life and highlighted the significance of remaining humble in the face of achievements accomplished.

The event ended on a note of celebration, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the young leaders.
